[Anders is, as usual, hanging around the clinic. So running into Joker again was probably inevitable, all things considered. And he really does need to explain a few things, but... it's awkward, and he'd really rather not. Seeing him, though, he approaches.]

Hello. It's Joker, isn't it?

[Joker had gone down to the clinic just to pick up his monthly pain meds and really hadn't planned on doing the whole awkward conversation thing with Anders either, but it sure did look like it was a thing that was happening.]

Yeah. You need something, Palpatine?

[Palpatine? What? That gets a brief but confused frown out of him, before he decides to ignore him.]

I wanted to apologise.

[Get used to it, Anders, you're probably going to be hearing a lot of weird nicknames from Joker.]

The difference between us is that I was raised in civilized society and you grew up in the boonies, rolling in mud and chasing pigs.

So thanks to that, I do all my chores without whining a single bit, unlike someone who just sat around the house drinking beer whenever he came to visit.

And it's also why I'm the favorite.

Is this about that one time that you went all glowy and your voice dropped like you'd just hit puberty? Because yeah, you need to explain that one a little better. Last time I saw someone do that, it was being possessed by an asshole space cuttlefish and Shepard had to shoot it in the face.

Hoping we don't have to go that route here.

Excuse you, I came home to relax because I was working my ass off in flight school. And, speaking of that, which one of us graduated top of his class and with so many honors that they didn't have time to mention them all at commencement? Oh right, that was me.

And by that I mean you might end up with a gun in your face.
